Raging Bull Gores Man to Death!

Eh. I see it both ways. Sure it seems foolish and we can all poke fun since it ended bad. But I feel genuine sorrow and remorse for any man who hasn't competed with his body/health/life on the line at least a few times in his youth. There are few thrills to match it. It's a great experience to test your limits in such a way no matter what all the play-it-safers say.

That poor 27 year old probably never did such in his youth like he was supposed to and its no surprise that he was ran down and gored when he was over the hill/way too old to be engaged in such activity. I would wager he was sheltered, hence the pathetic mom crying out for her baby.

If it's not clear already, I wish I would've ran with the bulls as a youngster. Now that I'm 33....nah, wouldn't try it. Odds are against me lol. Not to say I never ran though...my bulls wore blue uniforms and carried tasers and guns lol.

That’s what I meant by disregarding the ethics. It’s down to the individual if they want to do such a thing or not. If it goes wrong and you wake up in a Spanish hospital I would hope the thought process would be
I was aware of the risk and chose to do it anyway
It went badly wrong but it’s my fault
Now I have to deal with it
I guess there’s no harm in asking the government to pay for it all, they can either say yes or no.
Thinking about it it’s better to test the limits this way as it won’t hurt anyone else if it gets out of hand. I would prefer guys pushing themselves by doing this than getting drunk and speeding down the freeway for sure.

I agree to a certain extent. Live life to the full when you're young. Do some sky diving, white water rafting, bungee jumping etc etc, whatever floats your boat and gets those juices flowing.

But I draw the line when people have to involve poor innocent animals in their idea of "fun". That is totally unacceptable and irresponsible.

It was a resounding, and deserved win for the bull, and I for one am delighted about that.

In another twist to this sad story of bull baiting, the bull, whether it wins or loses, is usually slaughtered at the end anyway. Lose lose for the poor bull.

And furthermore, apparently, it is common practice to even kill the PARENTS of any victorious bull so that their "victorious" bloodline can't go on and reproduce more strong, potentially harmful bulls!!!

How obscene is that?

No pun intended but that's BS.

I kid you not Tom. I did a tiny bit of digging into bullfighting and it was there in black and white, not hard to find. Now whether it's legit or BS is another story. Lol.

I believe you but that is sad that they would do that to the victorious bull and his bloodline.

Hello; When I was a child my family had chickens and ducks. I helped my mother catch hens for our meals. By the time I was six I was cutting off their heads myself. At some point my grandfather brought us a couple of rabbits. We had them in separate boxes in the kitchen for some reason. Somehow my sisters rabbit got into the box with my rabbit. They were fighting with tufts of fur flying. Turns out they were two bucks. I reached in to grab one of them and got a bad bite on my left hand. Still have the scar. Rabbits can scratch you really good also. One buck was replaced with a female.
Anyway, before long we had lots of rabbits. My father would skin them and treat the fur. We would eat the meat. One day I walked in on him skinning my rabbit. I freaked out ( i was still a lot less than ten years old). My mom raised hell because i was crying. My dad got mad and opened the cages of the rabbits. The rabbits ran loose. The neighborhood dogs had a field day catching and killing all the rabbits. Those rabbits had never been out of a cage. It was something to see. Not a pleasant thing to see.
I felt guilty because I was guilty. I had a childish notion based on becoming attached to a food animal. Maybe my being a child is an excuse, but I think I learned from this. One thing learned is treating food animals like pets is a bad idea. Thinking of food animals as something other than fresh food is a bad idea. It starts up a mindset which is not realistic. Food animals should be raised in mostly humane conditions and killed as humanely as possible within your circumstances. They are not pets and they are not wild animals.
I do not hunt. Partly because I do not like cleaning and dressing a carcass. Mostly because I do not like the taste of deer. I have had it cooked many ways and will eat it, but it is low on my list of meat to eat. Mutton is also not a favored meat. I like bison however.
