Rainwater

When it first starts raining, any water collected will have impurities from the air in it. After a period of rainfall, the impurities in the air are washed away, and the water is then safe for aquarium use. So basically, wait until it rains for a bit before starting to collect the rainwater. Also be aware that most rainfall in the US is acidic. It can lower your pH. You may want to add some baking soda to your pond after a rainfall.

Well everyone; since my last post I've been using nothing but rainwater and well water for my pond without problems! I wonder if rainwater would be alright for my betta rescues and other indoor setups...? The pond fish are thriving on the rain water.

Opinions?

Rain water is always better then tab water. But still there's some chemical s in it. Be safe use water conditioner.
