Got a Nicarauguense at about an inch and it died a little over ten years later at close to ten inches.

Female betta-two years
Madtom Catfish-three years
My giant otto and raphael cat are about four now...

I've got a 5 year old buenos aires tetra. It's the only remaining fish I have from when I got my first tank (29 gallon with community fish)

I bought 2 tiger Oscars around 5" and one killed the other shortly after

The killer went to live for another 10 yrs of old age, you could tell he was old, the scales are chunky and thick and he was moving slowly just like human :)

Got him when I was in high school and died in 1st year of running my business

Well, looks like my Jag is off to a new loving home. I'll miss him and regret it for a long time, I'm sure.
But on the bright side, my convicts just spawned. The father is the Great Grandson of my very first fish, making these fry my fifth generation....

of feeders.:grinno:

Right now my oldest fish is my Syno. nigrita. I got him as either a freshman or sophomore in high school. This fall is my junior year of college, so I've had him over 5 years. I started out with him at about 1.5" in a 20 gallon. He then moved up into a 55, then a 75, and tomorrow he goes into my new 150. He's about 6" now.
