Wailua Boy Wailua Boy , are you in agreement with all this? SIDENOTE: My PH is always between 6.4 and 7[/QUOTE]

Yes. Furan 2(actually two compounds Nitrofurazone + Furazolidone one gram positive, one gram negative anti bacterial) should do the trick as long as the infection hasn't become systemic, in that case we may need to add another med. I would dose as recommended above and watch for improvement.

so should I do this or use the Polyguard? I'm not looking to spend a fortune lol My parasite clear tablets had Metronidazole as one of the active ingredients along with 3 or 4 others....

He's referring to Aquanero and jaws7777 is another member.
I think I am gonna go ahead with the Paraguard - it says treats ectoparasitic, fungal and bacterial lesions and WON'T affect biofilter. pops pops

Thoughts? Or should I just do it?

The girl at my LFS that takes care of me said the Polyguard is POWDER and I have used powder medications before and I wasn't fond of it and it did NOT mix well with the water either. Anyone else have this problem?
