Thats either bs or you really need to do some serious homework... You said yourself it'll hit 18 within a year, which is ALREADY too big for the tank. So you say 1-1.5" per month now, what happened to 2-3" per month? :screwy:

lol im gona have to agree with sodenshirayuki on this one..

Not sure, but being that thread is almost two years old one could say that many things have been learned since that time. Knowledge gained will often change opinions. As for the 4 years in a 18" wide tank, well I can only say that my first silver I had was kept in a 55g for about a year. I had to sell it because of a new baby on the way and the wife and I didn't think we could afford a new 75 gallon tank:WHOA:....I know:screwy: this was about 16 years ago.

I couldn't agree more. Not every one here is a professional and with a lot of money to invest a big tank at the first time.
I have raise a jar (about 10cm) in 75g tank; and in 2 months, it grows to 25cm. Now I see it still happy with the tank; but I am thinking about change tank.
You know thats 6" of growth per month right?

:ROFL:inch/cm who cares.............
