Rampaging raccoons killing neighborhood pets

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Its like any other wild animal...the more dumba$$es that feed them...the more they will come and become bolder.....same with bears...alligators ect. Dummies that got bit or had pets get taken are probably the same ***es that began feeding them in the first place.

agreed. But i still dont feel secure if i had young ones living in that area.

Imagine the damage those critters can do to a 5 year old.

I really feel for these animals and I feel even worse when I see people wanting to exterminate them.

We human pretty much enroached on their home and cut down woddland areas to build homes. And release pet cats which also roam around what's left of their home.

So I think they have the right to pissed off about it and won't go down without a fight.

Reminds me of that Miyazaki movie on the Japanese racoons called "Tanuki". If you guys are interested in seeing it the original Japanese title is "Heisei Tanuki Gassen Pon Poko" North American Title is "Pom Poko"

Synopsis

A Fantastic Tale Of Survival

Pom Poko is a tale of the clash between modern civilization and the natural world.

The Raccoons of the Tama Hills are being forced from their forest by the rapid development of houses and shopping malls. As it becomes harder to find food and shelter, they decide to band together and fight back. The Raccoons practice and perfect the ancient art of transformation until they are even able to appear as humans.

In often hilarious ways, the Raccoons use their powers to try to scare off the advancement of civilization. But will it be enough? Or will the Raccoons learn how to live in balance with the modern world?

Celebrate the magic of the forest and the beauty of the creatures who live among us in Pom Poko

Maybe adults should watch this and learn something from a cartoon

Put up a fence.

Who are you to say whether or not they should be in that area or not.

Hating any sort of animal with a "passion" shows ignorance, and a feeble mind.

"OMG I HATE SNAKES"

"why?"

"I DUNNO, THEY ARE JUST NASTY! OMFG"

"what did they do to you"

"NOTHING, I JUST HATE EM!"

"idiot."

I agree...

But there is something I dont understand.

You are upset about this, but not about Sharkfin Soup (you mentioned you enjoy it...), or the other such atrocities that go on in asia

I see no difference in wanting to kill these animals because they are pests, and catching thousands of sharks a day, hacking off their fins, then throwing them back into the water while they are still alive.

Vermin?? they aren't vermin. They are the native animals that belong to the land. It's people who should stop letting their cats loose that can kill the native songbirds and small wildlife.

Perfect quote, one of the best I have seen this year.

Makes for a great movie and I like the ring of killer racoons. They can do it because they are known to go after chickens and such.
I had to laugh just recently my dog came back with a bitten off racoon tail (early summer).
It was late at night, and I let one dog out and immediately heard a commotion. after a good ten minutes, he comes back with the tail (3/4 of it at least). Dont get me wrong I like racoons -nature first usually for me. Im sure it lived (I hope) because I went looking for it with a flash light but no sign of it.....I havent seen a stumpy tail racoon since either...

kill those vermins!

So, because they are "trouble" to your wannabe perfect society, they should be killed?

And yet, you are against Nazism? hmmm...

Hell, THe Nazis had more respect for wildlife than you.
