RAN ACROSS THIS PICTURE----ARE THEY TAT'S

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You see, the red on the tail is in blotches, espeacially the ones on the left. As for the white edge of the tail, this is because the blood is in the inside and not dripping down on the outside.

If its blood how come the white edges of the tail fin are still really white?????? Why would the blood be so picky on what it stains red???? White would be the first thing to turn bright red like that.

Also the rod is going threw there throat not half way down the body where the "BLOOD" starts. There looks to be no injury to any of them that far down the body.

they are armatus.
the blood isnt flowing OVER the body and down, its flowing THROUGH the body to the tail from being held like that for so long.
i think thats what i heard...
ive also heard stories of armatus with RED tails.
but they are not tats and im sure of that.

Its just the reflection of the light that makes it look like "blotches", and its not even really that blotchy. And if its blood on the inside what do you mean? I have blood on the inside of me but I'm not red:ROFL:

YA I don't think there tats at all, to big. Armatus for sure but I too have heard of red tail armatus that's what I think the are. Theirs no way its blood, I have had fish hanging before almost the same way but with a metal rod and this never happened.

maybe its just hydrolycus that become like that when dead?
who knows...until we have an MFK fishing trip down at venezuala.:naughty:
i think redtails do get pretty big in the wild.

And if it is blood it would not soak through the scales to the side of the body, the pic has red on the body.
If it is just blood soaking down:screwy: why would the blood discriminate against going all the way down to the edges of the tail.

not flowing over the body, just through it.
if you know what i mean.

I'm in for the trip:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2

Ive only seen pics of dead armatus lying down and there not bloody. I just really don't think its blood there to many things in the picture that say its not.

I know what you mean but blood is meant to stay in your body, same principle in a fish. blood does not move to anywhere its not suppose to be even if its dead and hanging. Unless there a point of impact or abrasion that blood came protrude at.
