sorry to hear about your loss sbuse. and wow i was just on here yesterday thinking how they were looking pretty good. i dont think it starved as his tail wouldve looked like they did when we received them actually smaller and he didnt look bad at all. im guessing maybe internal or idk. you did have a gut feeling though but sometimes there is nothing we can do about it.

on your blackworms why dont you get them shipped directly to you. a pound seems to last me for a good while. just takes a little cleaning but with these retics eating just about only those its worth it. plus the shipping is next day so you dont have to wait on your lfs employees to get off there buts. also you might save some money. i wish you luck on your new ones and glad this isnt stopping you from getting them. maybe even you can talk your wife into getting a motoro next time, and who knows maybe he will help knock them female retics up. but good luck and hope your next batch comes in healthy.

oh ya and lastly lol the thing i have noticed about retics is that a well fed one tends to be very lazy.

thanx, ya it was crazy, i did have a "creepy umpa lumpa" feeling that his new found playfulness was to good to be true...shipping on the worms would kill me...idk direct to me but i am bulk ordering the worms now at a 1/4lb for $11...i still have a male retic...i plan to get a female motor after my retics get older then i will try to hybrid with the male retic to the female motoro as that will be the best chance to work with no ray deaths...the wife said if i have the money i have clearence for more rays for my breeding project...little does she know that taxes are comin around and i see some nice little black rays with white spotsthat would be fun for a breeding project with some potental for cash flow....i could dream of those for now, but i am sure if she saw how much i paid for them and how our tax refund got lost to the internet banking, my nuts would get lost to internet banking aswelland

i think it would work, the old look at this hand while this other one is in the suger bowl gettin a cookie....but i don't think my refund will be that big...i should have though of this when my cousin was in iraq as everything is dirt cheap there...

idk im getting mine at $30. 1lb shipped and im sure you can prolly even find a better deal than that depending on where you are located at. so thats a $10 difference towards your next ray. plus saving on gas from having to go to the lfs. because i live about 1 hour away from any lfs or walmart, well i guess from about anything lol.

i problibly could, but i live 5min from the lfs so it isn't a huge deal, but after i move i hope to be 1 hr from everything so then it could be worth it...how long does a lb last ya?...

if it a WC then there a chance it had a parasite or something that killed it
my WC del came into my tank and my tank crash for some reason
but it did not die, i dink the WC and CB have different diseases and all that goodie..

i changed it up...as some issues just arose...now stock is

1 retic ray
2 bala sharks
1 peacock eel
1 severum
1 angel

my tank looks so empty...

the problem was that the peacocks started to breed again so they got ruff...they are now in a diff tank...i took out the yellow lab and the firemouth to make more space for my females...this weekend i am getting 2 more 55gals so i will most likely give the rays the one i have and move the others to a new tank...

ya it was alot, but i have changed some things and i have 750gph on the tank...i will treat my new coming rays along with my current male now with salt and p.pro (i have salt in the tank now)...thanx

i also may change it from the sand to a bare bottom to easy the cleaning...till they gat bigger...
