Raphael Cat looks limp now...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I hope so... Still no real improvement, but I'm pulling for him! Should I let him rest like he wants or keep him moving?

Sorry but i made the same mistake, I have an 8 year old spotted raphael and had a 2 year old striped raphael. My raphaels were the only fish affected and had the same symptoms as yours. the symptoms didn't begin until a couple of days after i stopped the treatments for some reason, but i managed to save the spotted raphael, however the striped didn't make it. I made 25% water changes daily. good luck

Well, thanks for all the help guys. He was looking better yesterday, but unfortunately was DOA this morning. I guess it was just a bit too much for him.

just a point of reference, just because the ich is gone from the body of the fish doesnt mean it is gone. it just means it if free swimming in your water. when it is free swimming in the water it is susceptible to salt. the heat just speeds up its life cycle. you need to keep the heat up and the salt at the same level for approximatly 2 weeks after the spots disappear. when you bump your temp up you need to either add a powerhead or a bubbler to get more oxygen into the water as with heat there is less oxygen, probably why he was "panting for air a million miles an hour".
