I had the same bad luck. They were doing great, and then one day then they started to get thin, and get parasites and die off As though their immune systems were just shutting off. I was told by someone who had success with them that they are constantly hungry( which is true) and can’t take lapses in feeding like other fish, where you can skip a day. They need to be fed multiple times a day for their metabolism. Now I don’t know if this is just in the juvie stage or it continues to the adult stage but with my lifestyle I don’t think I’d be able to keep up with all those feeding unless I had an automatic feeder, or if my water quality could be maintened with all those feedings. This is just my experience with them. I got gotten mine from that batch monster had gotten last December

I feed them high protein diet so they can hold their appetite cravings.

They are the best looking freshwater schooling fish. Very friendly personality. Like i said before, PH swings will kill them. I keep them at 7.5 with my ph monitor/doser
