Yea im going to grow em out first b4 i introduce them. No special needs?

Thanx for all the info,
Thomas

Planiceps and jau grow quick. Fila are slow growers with an amazing adult potential of 9' or more, but that would take many years. Filas need extremely good water quality. Don't skimp on water changes. Jau just feed them and watch out for signs of aggression. Had a 13" jau bite a 12" channel catfish in half and bit the fin off another one that was 16". He also tried to eat a 10" rtc. Awesome dish though. Getting some myself

Amazing tigs! If I had more money I'd definitely add one to my order. NP on the info. Also I'm not 100% that the filas we've seen on MFK are actually filas including the one I use to keep. They may be brachyplatystoma capapretum. I think you might have brough this up to me before. Doesn't really matter, both get impressively large, and are almost identical.

Yeah that was me, and still side Capapretum. Spotting seems large to me as described for Fila. Like you said though, same thing basically..
