RARE : Freshwater Grouper - MFK Exclusive!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Is it more brackish or freshwater. Who acclimated him and how. If is a marine species will this transformation reduce it life expectancy. I have read its been done but the fish had trouble with its amune system and died. I read an artical on a marine saw fish "baby" 22" that was succesfully acclimated to freshwater just no one knows at what cost to the fish.

that is Epinephelus lanceolatus and is a full salt water fish.

It probably can live in freshwater when young but eventually it will need full salt.

that thing is a monster!!!

Neo, don't be surprised if it starts swallowing all its tankmates. I would watch out for your simalar sized expensive fish. There was one at a lfs near me that was 14" and it swallowed a 10" triggerfish

Looks great

Hehehehhe u read that, Li? Even pbass is hinting that u need to ship me all ur other fish in that tank. :grinyes:

That looks most definatly like a bumble bee grouper, fresh or salt? They start brackish but go out to see and live in reefs and such swallowing anything smaller then their girth...
