Lol no idea but my sister and brother in law are veterinarians and have their own clinic so they would know. Wont hurt to look into.

That's awesome man congrats. I had got some 1" ones from him to grow out n spawn but my f1 Peru oscars killed them. Now I have two pairs of them spawning. They for a while ate the eggs right away and still do most the time. A few times I seen wigglers but they go Mia over night sovim not sure what's up.
I believe the male was eating the ones last night but the female isnt even eating tonight she is just guarding the eggs. She nailed the stingray while i was feeding too and he didnt appreciate that. I got two large pieces of slate today and i will be getting a 100 gallon tub to hatch the eggs from future spawns so ill be prepared next round. She has the eggs right next to the flower pot that one of my tropical lilys is in. Got my fingers crossed for a couple wigglers. Progress is key at this point. I think ill put some grass and moss and such near the pot too so they have a place to hide in the event some make it to fry stage.
The eggs were gone when i got up this morning. I have everything ready, slate is now in the pond and my extra tank is ready for the eggs so now i just need them to lay again and ill be able to remove the eggs and try to hatch them myself. All the eggs that were laid looked viable too. No white ones, they were all getting dark so i have hope that everything will go well. Just a waiting game now.
Well they spawned again last night and spawned in front of the slate instead of on it. I think its time to buy a tumbler and do it myself that way. I wonder if siphoning the eggs from the bottom of the pool will be hard on them?
