Rate my flowerhorn

i dont see the rationale of rating a fish. the fact that you bought it should be enough proof that you like the FH. beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and what may be beautiful for you may not look great to others. what other people say is not of prime importance. in the end, it all boils down to whether you are enjoying your pet or not

Just got this little guy(or girl).
Please tell me what you think of it. Its very young but still looks pretty nice. Also, how fast do flowerhorns grow? The pic is a little blurry. It makes the flowerhorn look a little beat up.

negative. never combine flowerhorns with oscars. both are cichlids and have territorial tendencies. keeping them together inside a tank without dividers would mean disaster to any or both fish. better keep them on separate tanks

this isnt 100% true either, it all depends on your specific flowerhorns personality, we cant tell you if it will work or not, chances are it will not, but i have a 4ft 90g tank with an 8" oscar and an 8" flowerhorn and they coexist very nicely, there are other fish in there to, and btw, at 8" you guys cant tell me it isnt matured yet, so dont try and use that one LOL he digs pits quite often.
