Hey F1, just so you know 1cc = 1ml

I know that through me off originally, but i just bought a 5ml syringe to use as a measuring device...

As for the drop checker, look up online guides about drop checker setups, since there seem to be quite a few floating around online that explain it in great detail :)

Thanks pal! Luckily my girlfriend is a nurse and I got a syringe with adequate measurements!

Stoked about my reactor. Kicks on 45min before lights click on with gas! And kicks off 45min before lights shut off!

Most likely going to buy a PH controller to control it all.... that way its spot on. Fish>Plants IMO!

Thanks Homer!

Nice work Alan. My tank feels so archaic now. Usually only my saltwater friends make me feel that way. Well done though looks great so far

It looks like my first planted tank. Which means, I bought 1 or 2 of a few different plants and kind of placed them in with space between them. But you have to learn to crawl before you can walk, plants look healthy so that's ahead of the game. You have to decide what direction you want to take it scape wise... Nature? Dutch? Biotope?

^ i do agree its a good idea to decide on a direction you want to go with in the early stages...

Then for myself at least, i like to let my plants some what dictate how it should look as it all fills in...

Being a piranha tank I wanted a Amazon look but I went a little crazy with my selection but have since thinned out. Swords, hairgrass, Java moss/fern, wisteria **** like that. There are 3 pieces of dw spaced out you can't really see. Going to do a wc and prune things up a bit. The fish definitely appreciates the foliage!
