Well recently my plants developed some type of string algae that started growing on the tops of plants near the high light.

when it was submerged it waved around in the current but you can hopefully know what it is and possible solutions. I've heard of h2o2 but I don't want to risk my fish. I've eliminated 85% of it and raised my light 3" so hopefully it wont come back.

Did some extra wc for a week, reduced lighting period and no improvement so I did some serious pruning, not only to rid the nasty algae but to make the plants grow how I want them too, also ditched the pointless draceans(sp?)

Moved a few plants around and man there were some seriously healthy roots!

Looks like it could be hair algae? Not sure the best way to get rud of it except to cut down lighting period...

It looks pretty nice :) If I didn't have convicts, and fish who love to shred plants, I'd go for a planted tank.
