Is acrylic paint okay? It’s all I have and have no way of getting anything else any time soon
I've seen some really bad information out there about the "difference" between latex and acrylic paint or acrylic paint and "water based" paint. The chemistry is always evolving, but unless it's some sort of special type, special use acrylic, even 100% acrylic paint thins and cleans up with water, so for all practical purposes it's the same as latex or "water based" paint in this sense. For practical purposes, except in the generic sense where people call anything that isn't oil or solvent based latex, latex (the actual synthetic resin used in paint) is more or less a cheaper version of acrylic and many quality "latex" paints have at least some acrylic in them, since it's tougher, more flexible, and has better adhesion than latex.

In other words, acrylic paint is typically just fine, potentially better, depending on what "latex" paint you're comparing it to and how much acrylic it has in it.

Thank you for the information. Making me feel like I’m in art class again ?

Plenty of videos similar to this on youtube. Some people use nothing more expensive or sophisticated than Walmart acrylic craft paint, basically a Walmart version of the paint in the video. Another popular option is Krylon fusion, easier with an empty tank outside or in a garage, but I did spray paint a tank with fish in it once by covering floor and furniture, turning off filters and airstones, covering the tank with plastic, and opening windows.

Is it possible for you to send me a link to a suggested video for moving the fish?
Here's a couple mate, just type in search moving your aquarium...or fish tank if you need more info
