Ray ID - Hystrix??

I stopped by my LFS on the way home today. One of the guys that knows me said they had a teacup stingray for sale, so I went and had a look at it. I know the pics are crap (cell phone through dirty glass), but can you tell if this is a true hystrix stingray? I know for sure its not a retic...

Its about 3.5" across (guesstimate), and its washed out. It also has a dark mark in the middle of its back kind of shaped like a comma, which is visible in all 3 pics. Any idea's what that might be?

I won't tell unless I buy it . (Or it gets bought before I can buy it). Lets just say it would be one of the cheapest hystrix on MFK...

I won't have the cash until Friday, but they don't have a price on the tank, and its on the floor under some flashier fish, so hopefully it will still be there this weekend...

I just have to talk my fiance into it...

that would be interesting if they got a brazilian ray in with their "teacup" shipment. i wonder what supplier is importing rays from brazil and selling them at reticulatus price.... interesting.

I know. I want to run up to the other LFS I know of that will carry teacups and see if they have any as well...

looks like a hystrix to me.....btw they had 3 small hystrix at a store near me, same size (3.5 inches) at 79.99!!

wow cool. wish i found those deals, sucks they take so long to mature. i need a mature female lol. will be picking up 2 mature male hystrixs at end of week.
