Ray ID - Hystrix??

I would say that's a hystrix. Looks exactly like the ones I have.

Well, this guy is $100 (doesn't beat the $90 ones above). But if they're at the other store I like, they might only be $60. I'll have to go check either tonight or tomorrow.

Definitely a true hystrix. Last year they were brought in as brazillian teacups.

oh its hystrix and is considered among teacup rays like orbi it a generic term used for small rays

Oh I am so Hating all you east coasters right now..LOL I WISH I could find one here let alone for that price. Grab her/him up!!! My LFS has been seeing "hystrix" on her order form..we're guessing its going to be a retic, but lord that would be nice.

looks like the little one might already have heater burn from that heater laying down there. its hard to tell but on his back and head looks like something is up. second pic looks like it anyway.

It's all very well everyone saying go and buy it but for me I would only by a healthy ray no matter what price or kind of ray

There is something on his back, but in person it doesn't look like heater burn, unless its very minor. The skin is still fully intact, its just darkened vs. the rest of him.

I think its just the crappy pictures, because it looks pretty healthy to me in person. Its not fat, but its not that skinny either.

I'm going to go check the other LFS after work today. I'm hoping they have one or two in, because they're always a lot cheaper than this place. If not, then I might have to scoop this one up this weekend. Or I might pass.
