Ray ID - Hystrix??

Well the other LFS that usually has "teacups" didn't have any this time. So if I decide I really want a hystrix, this will be a good chance to get one. I'm just worried about how likely this little guy/gal would be to survive if I did buy it.
How hardy are Hystrix at this size (~3.5")? With all the issues I've had with wild caught rays (although they were all retics), it makes me want to lean away from getting it.
On the other hand, I've had the Hystrix addiction bad since I saw the first one on this site... Damn.
well have them make it eat in front of you and if it eats then your chances are that much better. but if it dosent eat then i wouldnt advise it as they can be just as picky as a retic at this size. let it climb the glass and you will see how small its mouth is
