Ray Tankmates - Diamond Sturgeon??

I just picked up 3 diamond sturgeon. They all about a foot long and gorgeous! Non-stop swimmers and already eating well, too! After quarantine I was thinking about sticking them in with my BD/leos. I think they would make for some neat tankmates and would cleanup any uneaten food particles, as well. What are y'alls thoughts on these guys as tankmates for rays??







I bought these from Dario who works closely with Mike (H2O). He was great to deal with even when the shipment seemed to get lost during transit!!

Sturgeon like cooler water temps...also I think they would starve as rays would out compete..plus they will also outgrow their quarters pretty quickly...just my input

I'd second that input. Water temperature would be an issue plus the sturgeon really have no business being in an aquarium unless it's massive.

I agree as well. I've been told numerous times that they NEED cold water. Better in a large pond than a ray setup.

AWESOME fish but i agree, cooler temps and they get larrrge. Buuut you'll have free, fresh caviar.

Sorry for the crappy video... all I have for now. Added another bd/leo since and replaced the pbass with a big aro. Also, added a flagtail that has removed all that nasty algae.
