Rays for a 310 gallon?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yea bc everyone has monster motoros that size

He clearly stated he was considering lifetime options. Most female motoros will get big, and you can't argue with DB junkie DB junkie about this haha.

There's been plenty of ray keepers that have raised Motoros up to around a foot in the first year, so again, saying they will be fine for years is wishful thinking.

Marbles typically stay way smaller then Motoros. The right Marble can carry a max size that's smaller then the mentioned "small" species - just got to know what to look for. There's been threads on "mini/midget" Marbles.

I recently lost a male Marble I had for almost 8 years. Arrived mature at 7" and was just shy of 10" when he passed. Meanwhile the blackie that's in the same water here picked up almost a foot in half the time

this is what sucks about living in bfe east coast haha, Its hard to find any of the rarer species, and even harder to find a tank that will work when you do lol. A mini marble would be awesome for sure haha.

I've always been fascinated by rays, and definitely want to try my hand at keeping them as I think they are probably the neatest freshwater fish out there, but short of a small pond in my house its a tough game to get into haha.

LOL--- BS. Watch him. This guy argues with me about everything. I've tried offering him advice in the past in regards to Characins, the only advice he hears is what he wants to hear. Then tells people what they want to hear like in this thread in an attempt to get the original poster to make the same mistake he did......

I've seen Retics and Hystrix that got bigger then Marbles. The last Marble I had give birth here was a 8" female. ;)

8 foot cylinder stock tank :)
haha I like the ideas behind stock tanks...I just can't get into the look of them...I say this as I plan to put up an Intex pool in my garage sometime soon for a bunch of run of the mill native fish hahaha.

I figure of all the people you could fight about brown rays you'd be the last guy I'd try to argue with. I've heard of the mini marbles, I just don't know enough about them to suggest them. Any idea where the mini marbles come from? I suppose I could do a quick google search but I feel like I might end up back here.
