Rays for a 310 gallon?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Marbles, hystrix, and reticulated rays would all do great in that tank.
You could have a BD or motoro in there for a while, but for life I would stick with the smaller rays
I have a 300 DD with a p14 hybrid and a marble and they both have more than enough room.

I have a client right now who wants to stock a massive outdoor, former koi pond with stingrays and large cichlids. Only problem, the rays are restricted in my state but I think that would be awesome. You lucky raykeepers...

If they weren't you'd have lakes filled with red devils and mutt rays lol

A male of just about any common species will be fine in that size tank. For a female you will be restricted to the smaller species.

don't go motoro they grow dang fast. Mine went from 4" to 14" in one year :) hystrix hystrix hystrix. There are a few people who can get them and breed them on here you could put a LF ad and see what comes up. If someone is well vested in this forum i would trust an online purchase from them no problem.

I think post #26 will make you change you're mind

A male motoro would probably work but an adult female would take up half the tank!

Agreed. I am sure I have some better pictures at home that show her actual size even better.

I don't remember what her actual size was but I got her about three years ago but it was at least 16".
