I wish I knew how to put into text...that game-show music that they have when they are waiting for the answers to come in...Is it "The Price is Right" I'm thinking of?
Ta ta ta ta ta ta taaaaaa....ta ta ta ta TAAAA ta tata tata....
Would some pictures of the best deal I ever got on a fish hold you over? $4 for the red head...$4 for the orange one...then $60 for the Platinum Butterfly. I bought the butterfly first, then I went to every pet store I passed for months on end to cherry pick the other 2. I don't know how I'd replace the red headed one...it lets us drop food right into it's mouth, and will jump into your hand if it thinks you have something. By eye, I'd guess it's about 13" now.
Edit- Worth mentioning, the Platinum got stabbed straight through the spine by a blue heron that luckily found a new place to hunt. It had to re-learn the use of it's tail, but has fully recovered...however, it never got much bigger since then.
After I reviewed these pics, I had to go out and look at the Orange one. It does not have a bad eye like 2 of the pictures seem to indicate.
Goldfish for sale... $1/ea LOL.
OH- and while we're looking at pond fish, maybe someone has this answer. I've wanted to add turtles to the pond that won't take chunks out of my fish. Preferably a "drop in and forget" type, but if I have to bring them inside for the winter, that's fine too...Any turtle people? I just havn't had the time to try and figure it out...
