Hey Clearwater guy

I've been lurking on your thread for awhile now and finally decided to create a u/n and make my first post. I just wanted to give you a thumbs up for your dedication. Most people would have giving up after the first setback. Congrats! I'm looking forward to following this thread out of the shadows now.

Hi Christina! Welcome! And thank you. That tat is amazing!

I think sometimes dedication is defined by life and it's experiences...In my case it started by spending several years too long in a bad work situation... There were other contributors as well, but that was the main thing...the determination to never go through that crap again no matter what.

Can't wait till the business (and this thread)...move into a building...and beyond. I was just looking through for some dates last week...and the initial pictures actually amaze me considering that it hasn't been a year yet.

CLay, you are right. I wish I could find something cheap that uses zero heat. All of these up to the several hundred dollar models will heat up to 150f or more. but on the other hand, I don't live in a spot where I can get fresh sea greens and all that stuff I'm sure is already dried with heat, so I think !50-160 would be fine on the smelt for a few hours...but first I'm going to thaw it in the refridgerator in some towels. absorbing the moisture from the ice-misting of the frozen smelt might make the moisture just right.

They ate all of what I just made...so I'll be doing more tomorrow.

Not as of yet. Things will move very quickly once the tax return comes back. Main focus will be to expand the Tilapia operation and build a new hatching system and fry holding system. I also intend to start hatching Brine shrimp. I am still losing a lot of fry after they hatch and we've narrowed it down to early stage feeding and not being able to separate the fry as well as I need to.

Sir you have truely blown my mind with your dedication from project to business... you've taken the step we all.wish we could congratulations and I am very interested in a pup when you breed again.. looking for a good female to go with my male... congratulations again my friend and best of.luck... hope I can come to your store someday... tyler

Thank you!

Just ordered a whole bunch of stuff today since we got our state refund.

Ordered a couple of newer and better de-humidifiers.

Ordered a whole bunch of supplies, as well as more hatching jars, and a new UV bulb for my hatching system.

Ordered a couple of economy (2-liter) brine shrimp hatchers and 16 oz of eggs.

I needed to start hatching brine shrimp a long time ago for the fry, they just havn't been very healthy lately and it is due to not being able to get food in them soon enough in high enough quantities...frequenty...and often enough.

On a side- I was thinking today of making a belt feeder out of some leftover R/C car parts or something, since belt feeders cost like $200+....But then I had this thought of a $500 project to avoid spending $200...so I decided to just keep doing it manually. ;)
