Serra's? what are those? is that the golden ones?

and I was thinking of only 2 or 3 RBP. I want them to be able to move.
is keeping them lower than their recommended shoals bad? like what will happen?

I have extra pumps and overhead. Would two overheads do the job?

pygo's are pygocentrus species the type that shoal which has to be kept in groups

if you keep em in a group of 3 cahnces are they get so skittish and lots of aggresion and you can lose one

if you intend to keep rbps they are pygos 3 is good for a 75 but caution is a must

i currently have 6 in a 75 but they have a 180 ready for occupancy just clearing the current occupants

on your 75, can they move? are they adult sized already? and like what caution should I do?

yes they can move in my 75 they are still juveniles
you can try keepeng one but i suggest a bigger tank and a bigger group

there are three genera of piranha that people commonly keep in aquaria. They are Pygocentrus, Serrasalmus, and Pristobrycon. Of the three only pygocentrus are considered true piranha.

Serrasalmus species piranha are usually called "black" piranha even though they come in a variety of color morphs, sizes, and personalities.

Pygos (red belly's) have to be kept in shoals of at least 4 to thrive. Your 75g would be a good grow out tank, but unless you have a 125g + for them to go in in approximately a year, your better off picking a different kind of fish.

Serras are very interesting and beautiful fish. You could keep any of them in a 75g except a big S. manuelli or S. rhombeus.

If I was personally stocking a 75g serra tank, I'd stock it with a BM elong which looks like this. That's just me though.

Im not quite sure if there is any Black Piranhas from where I live, all I see is Red Bellys. I was thinking to keep about 1 or 2 piranhas only.

Ive read that they like to fight each other when kept of numbers lower than 4. Im not really sure if 4 can move in my 75. coz it'll take me a year to earn for a 125g tank.

is keeping them in twos a bad idea?

and would it be hard to introduce another RBP to the rest :if I thought of adding some more?

if you seriously plan on saving up for a 125g in a year, then I would say go ahead and buy 4-6 juvie piranhas. About the time they're ready for a bigger tank, you'll be able to purchase one and move them.

I can earn that in a year but im not sure if Im up to it
so is keeping only two a very bad idea?

pretty much. They're best in groups of 4 or more, or just 1. If you started with 2 you'd be left with only one soon enough, because the dominant fish would kill the other one. You could try 3. Might work. If not, you'll know . good luck
