Yeah, having multiple nozzles on your returns would help reduce flow resistance/restriction.

If you want to have more control over where your inlets are shooting, I think using loc-line is an awesome idea.

Glad to hear the fish are happy in their new home. Looking forward to seeing pix of it stocked (hint, hint).

+1 and +1. Totally forgot to say congrats on the new setup. Glad John and I could help with the sump design. You will love it more and more as time goes on. I might of missed it In The thread but how are the returns ran? Are they in the overflow boxes or are they up and over the back?

Thanks, Sean. The returns are run up through the overflow and into the tank with white PVC for now. I'm waiting on black elbows to come in, and some black PVC pipe, then I'll run the returns through penetrations they made in the top. I didn't have em yet and I just wanted to get it filled and running.

My wood's all floating, staining up the water, and I have to wait on the pool store to get a shipment of PFS in. And the office is VERY humid, now. :)

My strainers came in, so now I can straighten out the herbies. So I put a tape on them, they both are the same length. They're a little low, and that's why water falls 2-3 inches into the overflow. Putting the strainers on raised that level that water has to fall into the overflow, which quiets things considerably. The emergency drains are a 1/4 inch different, and the water level in each overflow tower is still not the same. So, I put a 2 inch PVC collar on one of the emergency drains, and that keeps most of the water from falling down that emergency drain line--which is also pretty irritating when you're trying to sleep. So, I've got it all tuned up to run as quiet as I can. Which is almost totally dead silent. I get a slight trickling sound from water just barely falling into one emergency drain. I can live with that. Why the water level's different in the 2 overflow's--I still don't know.

The wood's stained the water pretty bad, and the water's a little cloudy, but I'm just gonna let it set for a couple weeks. I think it'll sort itself out.

I bought some clear acrylic panels from HD today. I'll cover up the holes on top of the tank because humidity in this room is unreal. And I don't want fish jumpin out.

Thanks. I'm adding a jag, trimac, carpintis, a couple more Vieja, and I have 3-4 Argentea growing out in a 125. Maybe a Bocourti or Pearsi after I see what doesn't work out. If it turns out that Amphs or Trimac just won't live with Vieja, then I might make it an all Amph tank.

I only have 6 fish in there now, I need some fish for sure. I had thought about a Tigrinus, but the tank's not long enough. I'm not sure about Plecs in this tank--fish will be big and I'm worried about them rasping on the tank walls.
