re-aquascape(opinions please)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I like to stack all my wood and stones in one pile, allowing more open space and smaller fish to seek refuge.

But it looks nice as is, but if you're bored, I'd weigh the needs of your boredom compared to your fish's comfort.

Dont know why i feel the need to reply to this, but i have been raising large fish for over 15 years(what good is hiding space for small fish when they are only large fish in the tank).
larger tank do you even know what size tank that is?(plenty of space for 4 fish)
and as far as the comfort of my fish,i take care of my fish very well(search all of my threads and see how many fish i have bred and raised over the years and the excellent health my fish are in)
not sure how long you have been keeping fish and you might even be an excellent fish keeper,i hope you enjoy this hobby for years to come and has your experience grow, you will learn that all species have different comfort requirments.

I noticed on the bocourti / pearsei tank there is a large piece of driftwood poking out the top. I assume that part of the tank is open? I would be a little concerned about losing one of those beautiful fish out the top of the tank if that were me. Just a thought. Other than that I think it looks really great.

thanks for the concern, that top has been open for 4 years(just the front half the back half is covered with glass)and i never had a reason to close them(dont have aggression problems, thankfully)

and thanks everyone else for the comments
@chinggiz,thanks for the comments, nice when someone keeps us longtime hobbyist on our toes.

Nice looking set ups, buddha. I especially like the dw in the bocourti tank.

I love the tank and the fish, your fish are always in top form. Now Johnny! What's up with the Discus? very very cool I was woundering why I saw you on SD. Your next tank will be some altums and I'll run into you on AFII. Great job buddy. Did you get your Discus from Rob & Rod?

John, are the parameters for discus much different than SA & CA's? What are their requirements?
