Ready to give up.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
1 Tablespoon per 2-3 gallons is minimal, I use 2 teaspoons per gallon of salt, about double what you are using, it will not harm clown loaches at that level.

what are you feeding?

does anyone else realize good nutrition is essential next to water quality in disease prevention?

I always feed a variety, maybe that's why I have few problems. I always strive for this with Oscars, but never paid much attention with other fish, even though I do the same thing with the rest of my fish.

Well it looks as though I may have beaten the ICK again. Its been three days with no spots but......

My lone Pictus cats whiskers have shrunk to almost nothing. Im guessing this is due to the salt. Will they grow back??

Ich does not come from a bad diet. Happens from sudden change of environment/parameters/acclimidation.

Dont stop the treatment just yet, wait atleast 5 days AFTER the last sign of Ich. The whiskers will grow back eventually but in some cases not to original length.

Well done :clap keep up the good work

This is why i have invested in a quarantine tank, i do not trust any other persons tank environment/quality.

Since i lost my Bala sharks a while ago, good size too, i have not put new fish in with ones that i will not risk to disease. Grow them out for about a month before im ready to put them in my stable tanks

ahh ***ness. keep putting that ick medicine in the water, intill there is completely no white dots anywhere, even if u c one litle white dot, keep going, and good luck.
