You could do the cheap way and buy a big outdoor swimming pool, or buy a stock tank. Those have great footprints for any catfish.
 
k my bro makes bricks and said i could get one for under a dollar so the starting dimensions are 10' x 5' x 3'
 
12x6 would make a good sized pond. or a 10 or 12' round stock tank
 
I would do a 2 x 4 base with plywood with some pond liner. I would also do 16' x 8' x 3' and no less.

I don't mean to be rude but do you know what you're getting yourself into? A RTC is one of the largest catfish you can get in this hobby and they live in the Amazon! They have huge spaces to swim and you want to put him in a 10x5x3! They grow over 5 ft! Yes it would still be able to turn but think of the fish! It doesn't have that much room to really move around. And you want to put a TSN in there with the RTC. You have on your hands a disaster waiting to happen with that tank. You can't just think of yourself and what you want. You need to think of the fish's life too.
