See? This is the problem I was having when i did research about them lol Some people say they have extremely toxic venom and some people say it's not a big deal at all. I have never found a definitive answer or scientific document stating which is true.

Seconded +1 I feel you its starting to become tedious.

shot an email to BGF about it. I will see what the venom expert says.

I thinking about herpetologists Mertins and Schmidt. They were both bitten and killed by snakes that were not supposed to be that venomous.

alright, here is what I was told:

"Toxicity is rattlesnake level, which means it'd take over 100 milligrams to reach lethal levels. Far far more than they'd be capable of producing let alone delivering"

SCORE ONE FOR LP!!! WOOT!!

It was true I gues.. cool.. especially since they cant produce 100mg

King Ratsnakes are agressive

Black pines are one of my favs and can be very pissy. Loud as well so its all around exciting, dont always bite though, usually closed mouth strikes but you could still consider yourself tagged. Mangroves are amazing, though Ive held a few large ones and they were very calm. FWC are one I love, a lot of Tiger Rats eventually calm down to cool pets, got them on my list for the alertness that I too love, but a big one with an attitude with the throat puffing and speed would keep you on your toes.

I didnt read this entire thread word for word and I hope your still doing this to either practice for hots, or just because you like the excitement of an aggressive animal without it being a tough guy thing. I too like herps on the agro side, but its a nature thing for me, IDK, I like docile ones as well, but just make sure your doing this for you, and not your friends.

Good luck. Have fun but be safe for you and the animal. Here is a defensive pine, not a black pine but similar. Love these guys. Go to the store and say, I want the one nobody will buy because its a punk, but seriously, maybe not as agro as you want, but some can be. ATB for sure are taggers like said before.
