Your tank is 100% going through another cycle, When you removed your old filter you took all the beneficial bacteria out. I see this problem all the time on here. People don't often realize how easy it is to throw your tank into another cycle

True. I'm having a hard time right now. LOL. Thanks Owain4!

If you are still feeding your fish like that, stop. Your fish are large and can survive drastic food reductions. Cut feeding way down until the readings look good, then gradually increase feeding while re-testing. It sounds like you lost a lot of BB in this process, so that is the main issue, not food.

I see. I will reduce my feeding. Thanks Drstrangelove!

Happened to me when i started keeping fish a few years ago. Except mine was more worse then yours seems to be, my tank actually had a full blown bacterial bloom. The tank looked like someone poured milk into it. Just keep up on the water changes, add some oxygen if you have a bubbler or air pump, hold feeding a bit until it starts to stabilize. If you have friends or anyone you know that keeps fish, ask them for a bit of gunk from their filter. Just take a cup and squeeze a filter sponge into it and then pour that into your new filter.

I always add used sponge or filter pads to my new filters just to help with the cycle.

Thanks for the reply and tips Owain4, I'll do my best and follow your advice.

Do your best and fast. At 35°C there now during noon with something CLOSE to a heat wave, the effects of ammonia will be detrimental to the survival of your fish. If anything at all, change your water at night.

Thanks Naos1984! I will do my best. The water that comes out from my hose is a bit cold then when the water from the hose mixes with tank water, the temperature will stabilize. I will check my water again tomorrow and update you guys. Thanks again!

Hello everbody, quick update. My ammonia is now. 25, nitrite decreased a bit but still in the range of 2-5ppm and nitrate is around 40-80ppm.

Hello,
Did everything listed above and seeing great results. My ammonia is now .25, nitrite is now 1.0 and my nitrate increased because ammonia and nitrite decreased. I am going to do my water change later in the afternoon when the sun is down. Thank you everybody. Hope my water's quality improves.
