Man where I live you gota pay a ton of money for rocks! Up there you guys cant get rid of them!

The rocks came from our farm, it has an old rock quarry. The quarry closed back in the 30's so the rocks are nicely weathered.

I took the opportunity to test drive the pond this weekend. I set up the small sump pump (2500 GPH) in the lower basin of the pond, added enough water to drive the pump and fill the cascade. It was great, I found a few places where the water was disappearing and filled those with foam. The cascade sounds great and the pools of water in the cascade will be deep enough to hold some small fish or invertebrates.

I'll post some more pics in the next day or so.

The crew set the skimmer today and started on the adjacent patio.

Following are some photos I took this weekend. I filled the lower basin with water and started the small pump to see what is any changes corrections needed to be made.

SO NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of pictures. The contractors are finished and will be out of my way (and hair) tomorrow. The gravel patio is complete, the first layer was landscape cloth with compacted DGA, the finish is a washed natural gravel. The patio surrounds the pond.

I have pictures of the pond, patio, skimmer and flagstone pond edge. I have to make the final plumbing connections from skimmer to falls, wash the rocks and liner, get plants set on the falls, fill the pond and stock it with both my lilies and fish.

My next project, after opening the pool and finishing my sons treehouse is to rebuild the back porch, build a new deck, install the hot tub and extend the gravel patio.
