@chrombotia:
lovely tank! and pretty fish! i bet u had to save up for a while to get this if it cost 700 just to ship it. this tank mustve been like a grand or 2.
I hope its doing well as an investment.
That rare catfish i want costs around 2 grand just for it at 5 inches or less!
craziness. and to house it when its an adult, like 3,000 gals i'm thinking. it can be like 6ft long in 20yrs, so by then I'll need a crap load saved up (good thing I'm frugal) to build a huge in ground aquarium i can see from a walkin basement, (good bye door, hello fish door/window)

hey thats wierd y does it say "feeder goldfish" under my name...? I dont own any feeders right now,
i currently have up and running:
a ten gallon heated to 72- four line pimadella catfish (too angry to go w anything else)

a 45? idk--a yellow koi, a shubunkin koi, and a large (what we were told was koi, but is clearly a goldfish) and a plecostamus (who is going to move into the next tank

a 75 heated to 75-80-- a Red Tailed Catfish, about 8inches long, and about an inch and a half thick, about year in our house, got it at 3 inches long. its been in the 75 now for about 2 months.
the pleco is a warmwater, and its winter, so i will be moving him into the 75. i havent yet beacuse there really isnt a place for him in the 75. I need larger cover, the pleco is a giant!

wierd, how do u put that together? no leaks? where are the seams? are seams still cauked?
Acrylic is bonded through a chemical process that basically dissolves the edges of the acrylic so that when they solidify they are basically one piece. It is still multiple pieces put together, but an acrylic tank when finished is much more in a sense "one piece" than a glass tank is.

That little rank under your name is based on your post number. I believe it starts as an egg and goes up through feeders and various other little fish to different monster fish as you post more. Right now, it says "darter"

Very true. In fact, the bond is so strong, if you bond two acrylic rods end-to-end, and bend it till it breaks it will break anywhere but the bonding spot.

Current stock for tank are 3 Tin Foil Barbs, 3 Bala Sharks and 10 Clown Loaches.

The first picture is before I put the 10 Loaches in. Water was looking a little cloudy.

Second picture has the Clown Loaches added to the tank. A water change was performed prior to adding the Loaches. Water cleared up a bit but there are tiny air bubbles on the acrylic. Enjoy.
