Hello, my new friends. I was wondering what piranha species you guys would recommend. I currently have a 100 us gallon tank, It has a couple Oscars at the moment. I do plan to get rid of them and get into piranhas, So I really want to know what species you guys recommend that you believe I would be happiest with. Please tell me whether it is a solo species or if it prefers a group, I also would like it if you filled me in on a little bit of information about the species you recommend to me. You'll have much better luck and people with the specific knowledge in the piranha section. Generally if your tank is 48x24x24 you can keep 5 maybe 6 red bellies or a solo black. Down side to red bellies they will sooner or later kill each other. Don't feed live, super clean water, watch your hands when cleaning. There are a few other species that the piranha keepers know more about, definitely check that section out.
