I might try something with color. I'm just a black and white kinda guy. It makes for shading or detail to be almost impossible, cuz i dont even use grays, but I'm trying to change.

you can still do shading with color, it just takes a bit of time and care. its' just a matter of using a bunch of black lines. the closer the black lines shows the darker shading and the farther apart the lines will be as you get to the lighter parts. just look at the details of Hell Boy. I just put a bunch of black lines together closer or farther apart to shade. of course if i was using colored pencils instead of ms paint, it'd look a lot better
^aww, for some reason I was thinking tgtbatu. I think it was the whole hanging thing. I got him mixed up with the bait guy in my head somehow. Both good movies.
And I can't do the line shading technique very well with a 2x4" touchpad. I'll just shade with grays and darker color contrasts.
