What are we doing? Our fish seem to keep cross breeding with this couple being the strangest yet.Our female Zonatus and red bay snook have paired up and laid eggs.We didn't think this was even possible?Could these hatch?Does anyone else have such slutty cichlids?

This happens a lot between 2 species - but I'll admit this mix is unusual. If you get fry, raise them up! It'll be an amazing hybrid that's for sure.

Usually a day or two. If they are infertile, they'll turn white.

That could be the strangest combination I've ever heard of. Could be quite interesting though.

Hey .... with Red Bay Snooks??

Cool! I wonder if they will have the same personality as a Snook.

I have 3 Snooks and they are pretty interested in their surroundings!

I can imagine a Vieja Zonata with a Snook yawn :grinno:

That would have to look cool enough!

Most eggs when layed look fertile, however 30 hours in you can pretty much tell if they're good or bad. I hope for all pour sakes they fertile, then they'll probably be sterile. But who knows, Flowerhorns are hybrids and arent. It'll be a cool mix eh?
