mine are still little 6" but a month and a half ago i got them at 3" they seem to be very friendly to the other fish, but skittish of outside the pond activity. they dont bother the goldfish that are in there with them. i also have never even seen them eat a rosy red (i keep the pond stocked with them for the Crenicichla Venezuela.) they have schooled up with my pair of 12" oscars that are in the pond also.

I have 3 in my 240 and the biggest one is just a teddy bear and so is the little one but the middle size one he is the bully I guess thats why his lips have been ripped off lol pettie,spike and bucky

they are peaceful, hardly eat much (unless you feed them nonstop). if they outgrow their tank, either will be sold or end up as sweet and sour pacus...lol

I have 1 pacu. the best way to describe them is that they are inquisitive... yeah they chew threw airlines but i think they do it just to see what will happen. mine is 10-12 inches and is fascinated by the air line to my power-head i pull it out of the water so he swims around it till it falls back in. It drives me nuts!!
Pacu are like children...
