Yes it would work in the right set up once EBJDs pass the critacal 3" mark they are not the overly delacate fish every one thinks they are. I'm not saying one on one they're going toe to toe with a RD/Midas but with enough cover and dithers in an 8 ft tank you could do it. Just do it right!
