Not completely directed to steveo, but why do people ask questions but don't accept the answers? We had to battle you for a good couple days to convince you not to get a rd. 
I think it's going to be tough to introduce any new fish into the tank with a 12" Oscar that's clamed the entire tank as it's turf. Having said that, you could try any of the larger SA cichlids, like Severum, Uaru or GT. Other than the JD the bigger CA fish will kill the Oscar in the long run. A bad ass Oscar isn't going to win against a bad ass RD/Midas, Trimac, Jag ect....

Im on the look out for a nice sized JD nw instead and hopefully that might work but who knows till i give it ago! I will keep use posted on how it goes when i finally do get one?! If there is a problem, could i keep a JD in a 180 litre??

So what polypterus species did you go with then? There a good fish to keep with Oscars arent they? I love them, wana get a poly endli but i know there really hard to get here in Ireland. Actually, only senegals are readily available here?!

They'll be getting in 6-7 inch sens and delhezi on wed. I think I might wait to the weekend tho so i can take advantage of the 50% off deal they have. The manager said they'll be around $20 bucks each for the larger ones. So i'll wait and save me some money.
