thanks for the advice. im in love with this fish though. its the funniest fish ive ever had. i have crayfish in my tank which are pretty dam big and hell just grab them and through them around the tank. and go around knocking down decorations

Yupp, when I had a RD he re-decorated the tank on as daily basis moving decorations and digging up rocks. They are fun fish for sure.

jags are way more beast

If you put an average mature male RD in a small tank with an average mature male Jag, you will most likely either end up with two dead fish or one dead RD and a very beat up Jag.

I think jags r more aggresive. I have one ane he stands up againts my oscar and my loiselle, both of those fish could eat him but jags are so boss.

the red devil thrive in ponds where i come from especially ponds in golf clubs hahah... you can get big ones with the matured bump on the head... i caught one before and it beat up everyone smaller than it!! i've caught jaguars before but i never brought them back home coz we were just sport fishing...

the ones with the bump on the head though are midas cichlids.
close but no cigar
False. Males of both species grow "bumps" (actually called a nuchal hump) on their heads. What you have is most likely a hybrid between the two, unless you bought it directly from a reputable breeder (they've been cross bred to the point where it is very difficult to obtain a pure specimen of either species wihtout having to just order one from someone like Jeff Rapps). The only somewhat obvious difference between an RD and a Midas is the shape of the mouth; an RD's mouth is much more pointed than that of a Midas.
