just wanted to do a bit of an update on my devil/midas. last time i posted in september he was 2" and now three and a half months on he is around the 5" mark. he's living it up for a little while in my 5'x2.5'x2' with a female convict. i'm quite surprised as to how he's turned out as both his parents were a blood orange colour so i was sure he would look the same, but he hasn't even split. do you think he'll stay the same or change as he gets bigger?

I bet on him changing as he grows. He reminds me of my guy before he peeled.

yeah i reckon - spitting image LOL

there's hope yet then. i always thought they split when they were alot younger, some from the same batch had split to orange at 2"

I have a RD x Dovii about 3 inches no pics yet can I expect this type of red devil behavior from this fish and will the growth be more similar to red devil or dovii?

I thought it was male, although I haven't vented it. This is my first Amph. species ever so I'm not too sure as to what I'm looking for. What does everyone else think?
