oh I believe it... of course many people confuse the idea of what people see in stores now as strawberry as what these look like... These blow those crappy looking fish away!
The Dragonbloods pictured on the BigSkyCichlids web site that is referenced at the beginning of this thread belong to me. I have had a number of strains of these Dragonblood/Firefish/Strawberry type hybrids and I like this one the best. They really have the coloration that you see and get better as they grow. I feed mine mostly NLS fish food. Here is a picture of the same male that was taken about 3 months earlier than the ones posted on BigSkyCichlids http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...onBlood004.jpg As you can see, his coloration has improved quite a bit in the 3 month period.
I have this male in with 10 females. They have been breeding for about 4 months. I have 5 pregnant females right now. The fry sell out very quickly when people see them. I have a waiting list of buyers. It's unbelievable how popular these guys are!
