A simplier back ground like cocofiber panels ( $1.99-2.99) would work, not take up much space and plants will grow up it. /quote]

i have tryed coco fiber panels before and never could get anythong to grow on them and they ended up falling apart after a year or so. I personaly don't want to have to resetup my tank in a year

You will have to eventually do the same thing with a foam back ground.

I have coconutfiber panels in a lot of my tanks ( going on 4 years for some) covered in plants.
