My sugestion would be for you to search what are the winter temps in your species distribution, noting like mother nature to find the awnser. And try to find reports on croc skinks in the wild as well. Many times you will be surprissed at the temps your animals are beautifully adapted to.

The website shows temperature graphs of wild tribolonotus habitats, but is not specific into microhabitats such as the pile of coconut husks that tribolonotus are known to live in occasionally.
