Were they not in stock, usually it takes 2-3 days? I actually just ordered some Raibow Shiners from them yesterday, they will be a great school for my 125 :)

My pickerel is growning very fast hes already at 5 inchs and I havnt had him for very long.

I had 3 grass pickerals in a 55 but found one dead this morning, it looks like he was attempted food by the biggest one.

Room Temp is fine.

kinda hard for me to have room temp. My room gets too hot and i open my window even sometimes in the winter.

Am going to test to see what my heater keeps the tank at its lowest setting and go from there.

Really no need for a heater. Remember they are Native fish and are found all over including the cool temps of the Northeast. I recently went collecting and the water was in the 50's and we found grass pickerels. Unless you are making ice cubes in your bedroom you will be fine :) The only reason you would want a heater is if your tank is sitting directly in front of a window(which it should not be), and you are having drastic temperature changes, such as opening the window in mid January. As long as your tank is not directly in front of the window you will be fine even if you open your window to cool off the room for a bit.

They are extreamly fast when you put a minnow in. I have one of each of the following, Redfin Pickerel, Grass Pickerel, Chain Pickerel, & Tiger Musky. I like them, they all get excited when they see me, wanting me to come over to feed them.

well i did want a grass pickerel originally and they were out of stock so i ordered a red fin and it was on a Thursday. Since it was close to the week end he said he would ship it on Monday....Then veterans day came up....so now hes shipping this Monday. Good guy though, at least he's making sure the fish will get here alive :)
