I just discovered this fish and want one. Anyone know anything useful about them. them I wasn't sure which forum to post in

Make sure ur tank is covered they might try to get out if they don't like the tank or tank mates it lives in tropicals so like neutral pH high 70°s

+1 I've got one he's jumped out twice already , feeds on anything fresh and slowly but surely he's taking hikari gold , ive heard they max out at 8/10" mines about 6/7 now , stunning colours on tail and fins , oh yer and watch your fingers they pretty active compared to other wolfs , hope this helps

They should do ok in 4x2x2 that is if they do max out at 10" , im not really certain about that though , I got one coz my lfs got a box in an order by mistake so they were goin cheep , my jardini ate the first one so i went back got the biggest one they had , he's doin fine jar leaves him alone (the first must have tasted nasty i suppose either that or hard to digest)

Oh yer a couple of lfs's ive spoken to suggest not to keep in groups or pairs like you can with snakeheads , apparently you'll end up with one :D

They usually max around 8" I say minimum for a solo wolf is a 40 breeder. So anything bigger then that is great.

I'm not sure about this I've heard and seen that red wolves can be in aggressive community set ups.

That's why I said NOT to keep them in groups or pairs :D

Mines in an aggresive community set up , apparently you can't have same species in same tank they just kill each other , just what ive been told not tried it , mines not really shown aggressive behaviour towards tankmates but he is the smallest fish
