Thanks for the recommendation, but that was always the plan. I already have a pair that were paired in the river. Plus am keeping a "spare" pair. Once I know for sure there will be a bright fruitfull breeding future for a pair, I will sell off the extra one, just like I did with the Beani I brought back, and thanks to that my beani are taking care of wrigglers as I type this up! Thanks.

That's just awesome. Those are some of the most sought out CA cichlids out there and you have done a wonderful. I just want to congratulate you and say good luck. ;)

They look great!

Thank you for the kind words. Although I am selling the extras, my intentions are always for breeding, with the hopes of spreading enough fish around the country, to solidify its future, when and if it goes extinct in the wild. Like I mentioned, it is sad to see Green terrors and convicts in the river with Istlanum. Evryone I met in Amacuzac, said the Istlanum are lossing ground to the Convicts and Green Terrors. Not that it means anything, but I am a biologist, and have loved and kept CA Cichlids since the mid 80's. I have some beani babies now, thanks to my pair I kept frpm my beani trip last year. Hopfuly all of those guys who bought some of the extra F0 beani from me will have the same succes, and we can keep beani going for good, and now my plan is to do the same with this variety of Istlanum. If need be, I will go back for more. We will see.
