Great job collecting them. Now need to get some sustainable captive populations.

Is one of them missing a gill plate? deformity or physical damage (from cast net)?

I was thinking the same thing. Discount on the deformed one!

Yeah, but if it's genetic you've got to figure that there's a good chance that it will be expressed in some offspring.

It would be great if you found the time to write up an article about these little collecting jaunts. Info about permits, border crossing, flights, packaging, collecting and whatnot would be great to have.

How'd you get them back? Ship them to yourself or checked luggage? 17 3-5" fish is pretty impressive if you managed to fit them in your luggage.

Agree to both.

The article would be AWESOME! Step by step...have someone try to follow it...

Another possibility for missing/deformed gill plates is local pollution.

Sweet. Would love to hear/read more.

Congrats and welcome home Joe!

I should cruise up and see what you've got going on.... get some practice in with my camera!

PM me when you decide to part with some.... you're repeat customer pricing is preferred! :grinno:

Thats awesome! Thanks for sharing!

When I lived in Houston as a kid I used to catch guppies, mollies, swordtails and platties in a creek by my house!! It is sad how people just dump out thier fish and they keep breeding and breeding!

Gonna have to halt anymore sales of these guys, as I have a few going out of state, you guys know who you are, and a couple of local guys. Once those all go, I will see what is left. Thanks all!
