Red Sea Reefer 750XXL - 200G Setup

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Cheerful humour in my first post must have went right over your head for your initial reply. It was not meant to be an insult to your tank. Was meant to be a humorous response.

To the comment of “only difference between this and custom is reef in the name”. They are honestly designed to be a reef system. That’s all I was trying to say. It was not meant to come across as ignorant or judgemental, the system I initially described as beautiful. “Honestly, who uses rimless tanks for freshwater” was a weak attempt at satire humor towards freshwater.

Freshwater on a reefer :duh:
Beautiful setup and nice stock. This is the exact tank I was planning to upgrade my reef to. Very similar gear we have as well.
This was a compliment with what was meant to be humor to start. I apologize if it was not taken as such.

C'mon man. Cheerful humor? Any cheerful humor that might have been in your first post ended with the "duh"emoji. It read pretty judgmental and I'm sure I'm not the only one that read it that way. And yeah, I admit after I read that the rest of your post got lost. Even now when you say that it went right over my head you're being pretty condescending.

I've had reef tanks in the past and I'm well aware that the Reefer was designed for reef systems. Like I said though, it is no different than any other Freshwater tank with overflow and sump. I even said in my first post that the sump is not an ideal design for me, but it works just fine. The skimmer section is removable, and right now I have my heaters and media in there. The ATO is serving its purpose as a top off tank just fine but like I said the capacity is not big enough. Even reefers say the same.

I like the single column, center overflow design. A lot of 150g + tanks have dual overflow columns which seem like a waste of space to me. Setup looks great! What is the stand made out of? It's pretty cool that they designed it modularly and you assemble it yourself.

“Beautiful set up”. The second line of my first post reads as judgmental. Who knew. The first line you claim you understood the humour but still felt it was judgemental? You claim any humour in my first post ended with the emoji. So assuming you read it as such, you chose to ignore the second part where the post was actually a compliment? Seems to be a pretty common trend for this forum these days.

Yeah, backhanded compliments don't translate so well. Quit trolling my thread please.

Satire humor goes unnoticed. Should have added an emoji I guess. Apparently it’s the only way to perpetrate humor.

I felt the satire with the first comment but the second almost seemed like you were harping on it.

Ive had this debate with lots of reefers though. According to the reefing community im not allowed to have a custom acrylic tank unless im gonna be reefing, but my petsmart EBAs love the tank regardless! It seems to me they feel the need to defend the ludicrous amounts of money they sink into the equipment and place themselves on some high pedestal, overlooking the lowly peasants with their pathetic freshwater fish and plastic braced tanks. Bow before my low iron glass and 18-compartment sump, philistines!

Not saying thats you though. I just enjoy pissing off the snobs ha!
